Southampton man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder
A 45-year-old man has been arrested and remains in custody
A Southampton man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was found with a serious head injury in Bitterne.
Police say they attended a property on Harcourt Road just after 7:30pm on the 29th December, where a 34-year-old woman was being treated by paramedics.
The woman remains in hospital.
Police say enquiries are underway into how she suffered her injuries.
A 45-year-old man from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody.
Officers remain at the scene today and ask anyone with concerns to speak with them.
