£56k worth of machinery stolen in New Forest raid

Machinery worth £56,000 has been stolen from a business in Lymington.

Four excavators were taken in Mount Pleasant Lane on Saturday night.

In a statement, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said: "We are appealing for information following a business burglary in Mount Pleasant Lane, Lymington on Saturday 11 November.

"The incident, which happened between 8pm and midnight, involved the theft of four excavators, each valued at more than £14,000.

"The Kubota U10-3 excavators are described as bright orange with ‘DIAL-A-DIGGER’ written on them.

"We’d like to hear from anyone with any information which might assist in our investigation, including the current whereabouts of the stolen mini-diggers.

"Also, please get in touch if you witnessed any suspicious vehicles in the area at the time of the incident, especially those capable of carrying such diggers.

"If you have any CCTV of the incident, including doorbell camera and dash cam footage, please contact us and quote incident number 44230462704."
