Portsmouth Football Club has apologised for delays in getting into Fratton Park at the weekend.

Some fans say they missed up to 15 minutes of the match on Saturday.

A new scanner system for season ticket holders and staff shortages are being blamed.

A statement from Portsmouth said the core issue identified was a change in entry procedures.

The club said it acknowledged that the change in card entry procedures needed to have been better communicated to supporters in advance of attending the fixture.

It said a video guide would be published ahead of the Sunderland fixture at the beginning of October.
