Police release CCTV photos of men wanted in Portsmouth assault case

The victim was left with significant injuries after the attack in September

Hampshire Police have released CCTV images of a man wanted in connection with a serious assault in Portsmouth.

The incident, which took place on September 7th, saw the victim - a man in his 40s - hit and kicked repeatedly.

Officers were alerted to the altercation shortly after 3:30am at the New Kwiki Mart on Albert Road, and found the victim needing immediate medical attention.

After being taken to hospital, the man was revealed to have suffered serious injuries akin to actual bodily harm.

Among the various injuries sustained in the attack, the victim suffered "significant swelling" to his face and body.

Now, police have described the man they wish to speak to as being white and aged between 25 and 30.

He is also believed to be average height, with a slim to medium build, sporting brown mid-length hair and wearing a black T-shirt with "Boss" written on the front.

Three men have already been arrested in connection with the attack so far. Two men from Wokingham, aged 20 and 24, as well as 38-year-old man from Winchester were arrested on suspicion of assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm.

All three men have since been released on bail, pending further investigation into the incident.

Hampshire Police have also renewed their appeal for information and witnesses into the attack, urging anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the attack to come forward.
