A Dorset businessman has been left with 18,000 useless T-shirts which wrongly praise England for their World Cup win.

Football fan Karl Baxter, from Poole, was so convinced the squad was going to return home from Qatar as champions, he had the clothes printed ahead of the quarter finals.

He's the owner of Whole Sale Clearance.

On the website, it said: "Well...this hasn't gone to plan! Thanks to some dubious decision-making, England's cup dreams are over until the next tournament.

"We have reduced the price of these unique items as we certainly won't be getting any more! So wear it with pride, add it to your collection, use it to clean the windows...we don't know :(

"England are still winners in our eyes.

"Secret Santa anyone?"
