Portsmouth defender Connor Ogilvie has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.

The defender, whose contract was set to expire this summer, is now committed to the Blues until 2026.

Ogilvie played a key role as Portsmouth won the League One title last season, scoring twice against Barnsley and Northampton.

He has scored eight goals in 117 appearances since joining Pompey in 2021.

Manager John Mousinho said:

"We’re delighted that Connor has signed a new deal – he’s been brilliant for me ever since I arrived at the club.

"He fully deserved to be offered a contract and is someone that we believe can make the step up to the next level.

"Connor is an extremely solid – and versatile – defender, while also offering a lot for the team going forward.

"Our record with him in the team is excellent and I’m excited to see what he can do in the Championship."

News of Ogilvie's contract extension comes two days after defender Jordan Williams became Portsmouth's first summer signing, after he joined from Barnsley on a free transfer.

There's been no further announcement regarding a new contract offered to captain Marlon Pack, or negotiations with Joe Morrell or Zak Swanson.
