Woman who died in Brading collision named
It follows a fatal crash on Downs Road on 8 June
Police have named a woman who died following a fatal collision in Brading.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary were called at 11:20am on 8 June to reports of a collision involving a silver Hyundai i40 and a silver Land Rover on Downs Road.
The passenger of the Hyundai, Miranda Mellor, 77, from Newport, died at the scene.
Her next of kin have been informed are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 40-year-old man from Newport, is still being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the collision and are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward if they have not already done so.
