Police have been made aware of an incident of violent disorder at Havant & Waterlooville Football Club on Sunday 23 April.

It's reported an altercation took place at an Emsworth FC vs Coach & Horses Albion game at approximately 4pm, involving two groups of people.

A number of people are thought to have been assaulted during the incident, however no-one has yet come forward to police.

Officers believe there will have been a number of people in the area at the time who will have witnessed what happened and would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident or has footage of the incident filmed on their phones.

Detective Chief Inspector Ross Toms said: “The vast majority of those attending football are there to do just that and want no involvement in any disorder.

“However, there is a small minority who seek to use it as an occasion to commit crime, and we will not tolerate this.

“We are now investigating this incident and urge anyone with information that may assist our enquiries to please come forward and speak to police.

“We will be working alongside the Football Association as our enquiries progress to ensure that those who attend local fixtures can continue to do so in a safe and enjoyable manner.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference 44230161482.
