Two young P!nk superfans from Hampshire have been given the once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet their idol - after she surprised them in a radio studio.

10-year-old Summer and 12-year-old Izzy from Andover thought they were talking to Fleur East from our sister station Hits Radio about the importance of positive female role models on International Women's Day.

As they were telling Fleur why they love P!nk and what a role model she is to them, the pop star surprised them, leaving the pair speechless.

Fans' reactions to meeting P!nk

Before surprising the girls, Fleur asked them what they liked about the 'Trustfall' singer, and they explained: "How she's just so outgoing and how she says what she thinks..." as well as being strong physically and mentally.

Fleur told the girls how P!nk had heard about them and played a pre-recorded video for them, before the singer sneaked into the room to surprise them, bringing tears to everyone's eyes!

P!nk put the girls at ease before they started to ask her some great questions.

Why did P!nk want to be famous?

When asked why she wanted to become "such a big idol", P!nk explained she wanted to get out of her town. "I loved singing, I love music and dancing, even though I'm not very good at it, and I just really wanted to be a singer, and write songs and take over the world," P!nk explained.

What was it like making the 'Trustfall' video?

Talking about one of her recent songs, the title track to her album 'Trustfall', P!nk revealed what it was like to record the music video saying: "It was SO fun! I was like a stuntwoman, I got to ride dirt bikes on the street...I got to fly over a cliff, which was really scary and I didn't want to do it, but I did it and, I got to dance in the street, in this town that was not really a town, it was a fake town... It was really awesome!"

What is P!nk scared of?

P!nk also revealed her biggest fear was Great White Sharks, telling the girls never to watch the film Jaws! As well as sharks, the singer opened up about a fear she tried to conquer recently in her 'Trustfall' video, explaining: "I was afraid of heights and that’s why I started doing silks, because I wanted to conquer that fear.

"I don’t think I’ve conquered it, I’m still afraid, I was still questioning all of my choices when I was dangling over that cliff (in the ‘Trustfall’ music video), it was fun!"
