The US Navy's newest aircraft has anchored in the Solent off Gosport.

The USS Gerald R Ford is on its maiden deployment.

Thousands of sailors onboard the 335 metre long aircraft carrier will visit Portsmouth over the coming days to experience its 'rich culture' according to the US Navy.
