Person rescued from collapsed scaffolding in Swanage

A person's been rescued from a roof in Swanage, after a set of scaffolding collapsed.

Firefighters from Swanage, Westbourne and Weymouth were called to Osborne Road just before 11.00am today (Tuesday 6th August).

Ladders were used to help the people down from the roof.

The scaffolding has also damaged a car parked beneath it.

The collapsed scaffolding fell onto a car parked underneath it, with one person needing to be rescued from the roof

A cordon had been put in place for safety while the scaffolding was safely taken down.

The road had been closed while that work took place.
