Murder arrests after woman stabbed to death
A 47-year-old woman died from a stab wound
A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was stabbed to death in Alton.
The 47-year-old's body was found in a property in Aldersey Fields on Sunday afternoon.
A 46-year-old man and a 51-year-old man, both from Alton, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody.
A post mortem examination on Monday found that the woman died after receiving a fatal stab wound.
Police said the woman’s next of kin had been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Formal identification has yet to take place.
