Motorcyclist, 24, dies after Poole collision

Police say the man's family have been told

A man from Poole has died in hospital after being seriously injured in a collision involving a motorbike and a Jeep in Poole.

Police received a report of a collision at 4.26pm on Wednesday 29 October 2025, on the eastbound carriageway of the A3049 Dorset Way prior to the Old Wareham Road roundabout.

It involved a red Jeep Avenger and a black and blue motorbike.

The motorbike rider, a 24-year-old man from Poole, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died on Saturday (November 1).

Police say his family has been told.

Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family and loved ones of the man who sadly died following this collision.

“We owe it to them to conduct a thorough investigation to establish the full circumstances of this incident and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, who has not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.”
