More acts announced for Victorious Festival 2022

A Brit Award winner is among the faces heading to Southsea Common this summer

More acts have been announced for this summer's Victorious Festival in Portsmouth - with organisers also promising an even bigger comedy offering at the event.

Saturday's headliner will be Scottish singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini, while Brit Award winner Sam Fender will close the show with his headlining set on Sunday night.

Other musicians coming to the three-day event at Southsea Common, which takes place between 26th and 28th August include Primal Scream, who'll play on Friday afternoon, Bastille, who'll take to the stage on Saturday, and The Libertines and Anne-Marie, who've both been booked in for Sunday afternoon.

They join acts already on the bill including Friday headliners Stereophonics, The Wombats, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Sugababes.

Victorious festival is also expanding its comedy offering for 2022, with a newly-expanded Fringe Fields playing host to the likes of Katherine Ryan, Rosie Jones, Joel Dommett, Russell Kane and Milton Jones.

Other new acts across the weekend include king of the party bangers Example, Irish rock band Inhaler, post punk band White Lies, English rock band Suede, Ocean Colour Scene, indie rock revellers Editors, singer songwriter Amy McDonald, Mercury Prize nominated Turin Brakes, rock band The Subways, British DJ Andy C plus a Hot Chip Mega Mix.
