A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being attacked by two men at a pub in Bournemouth.

Police were called to the Kings Arms in Wallisdown Road just after 6.30pm last night to reports of a man causing damage.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:

"It was further reported that a man aged in his 30s was assaulted by two men. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

"Two men, aged 19 and 24 and both from Southampton, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Dorset Police say a cordon is in place to allow for further enquiries to be carried out at the scene.

Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
