Man injured in Fareham collision dies in hospital

Police are investigating the crash, involving an e-bike and a van

A man who was seriously injured in a collision in Fareham has died in hospital.

Police were called to the junction of Daedulus Way and Peak Lane following the collision between an electric bicycle and a Renault Trafic van, which happened at around 10.30pm on Wednesday (August 16th).

The e-bike rider, a 56-year-old man from Fareham, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and has now passed away.

Hampshire Police said his family have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

A spokesperson for the force said:

"We are continuing our enquiries into the exact circumstances of the collision and are keen to speak with anyone who can assist and has not yet made contact with police.

If you were in the area at the time of the incident, or saw either the van or bike in the lead up to the collision, then please get in touch.

"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has dash cam footage of the incident. "
