Man from Solihull dies in crash in North Hampshire

A man in his 80s from Solihull has died in a crash in North Hampshire.

His van left the A303's eastbound carriageway near Thruxton just after 5pm yesterday afternoon (Thursday 28th March).

His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Hampshire Police are looking for witnesses and dashcam footage.

We are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal collision on the A303 near Thruxton yesterday.

Officers were called at 5.01pm on Thursday 28 March to a report of a single-vehicle collision on the A303 eastbound, between Cholderton and Thruxton.

It was reported that a Volkswagen Crafter van had left the carriageway.

The driver, a man in his 80s from Solihull, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.

Although there is nothing to suggest another vehicle was involved at this stage, officers are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident
