Man charged with causing £13K of criminal damage to boat in Emsworth

40 year old Brett Fielder's also accused of various thefts in East Hampshire

A man's been charged after £13,000 worth of damage was caused to boat in Emsworth.

Police were called to the Slipper Sailing Club in July.

40 year old Brett Fielder, from Pavilion Way in Gosport, is due to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates Court today (Thursday 14th November).

He's also been charged with various other offences:

  • Theft of £10,000 worth of marine equipment from a boat at Salterns Pier, Hill Head, on 3rd July
  • Receiving stolen goods on 10th September, namely a BBQ
  • Theft of an outboard motor worth £1,200 from a boat at Fareham Sailing Club on 18th September
  • Theft of an outboard motor worth £1,200 from Church Lane, Warblington, between 16th and 18th September
  • Theft of a rigid inflatable boat from Endeavour Quay, Gosport, on 19th September
  • Fraud by false representation on 21st September – namely, selling a boat that did not belong to him for £350

Fielder's been remanded in custody.
