Hazardous response teams called to woman's sudden death on Isle of Wight

Hazardous response teams have searched a property on the Isle of Wight following the sudden death of a woman.

Specialist teams from police, fire and ambulance services were called to a flat in Flitcroft Gardens in Lake at 12.49pm on Monday (September 30th).

Residents in neighbouring flats were evacuated from the block over concerns that there may have been potentially hazardous material inside the address.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police said no hazardous materials were found inside the building, which has been deemed safe.

The woman discovered is in her 30s and police have said that the woman's next of kin have been informed.

Police have said they are not treating the death as suspicious.

A file is bring prepared for the coroner.
