Four arrested after man attacked at Victorious Festival

It happened near the main stage on Southsea Common on Sunday (August 25th)

Four young people, three of them teenagers, have been arrested in connection with a serious assault on a man at Victorious Festival in Portsmouth.

The incident is believed to have taken place close to the main stage at the music event on Southsea Common between 7.40pm and 9pm on Sunday (August 25th).

Hampshire Police said the victim, in his 50s, reported being attacked by four people, suffering bruising to his face and cuts to his head.

A 20-year-old man and Southsea and 15-year-old boy from Portsmouth have been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent, and a 17-year-old boy from Southsea and 16-year-old boy from Portsmouth have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

All four remained in custody as of Monday afternoon.

Police are continuing investigations and have urged anyone who may have mobile phone footage of the incident to get in touch.
