ELECTIONS: Reform win first seat on Isle of Wight Council

There were 59 votes in it between Reform and the Conservatives

Reform UK has won its first seat on the Isle of Wight Council.

In a landmark victory David Maclean received 291 votes.

The Conservatives’ Adrian Whittaker came second, backed by 232 voters.

Mr Maclean is not present at the Westridge Centre count today.

The full results are as follows:

Emily Brothers (Labour) – 47

Julie Burridge (Lib Dem) – 85

David Maclean (Reform) – 291

Robert May (Green) – 97

Sarah Morris (Independent) – 55

Adrian Whittaker (Independent) – 232
