Driver killed in collision with pick-up truck near Winchester

Police say his car crossed the central reservation of the A33

A driver has been killed in a head-on collision with a pick-up truck near Winchester.

Police say the 25-year-old was driving a Vauxhall Corsa which crossed the central reservation of the A33 while travelling on the southbound carriageway on Friday night (July 5th).

They were called to the scene at King's Worthy at 9.47pm.

The driver, who was from the village, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have been passing through the area around the time of the incident and saw what happened or the moments leading up to it to get in touch.

They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage which could help with enquiries.
