Driver dies in road crash in Portsmouth

A man has died in a crash on the Eastern Road in Portsmouth this morning (November 28th).

Officers were called to a collision at the junction with the A2030 at 5.39am on Tuesday, involving a white Renault Clio and a red Seat Leon.

The driver of the Seat, a 50-year-old man from Southsea, died at the scene.

The road has been closed throughout Tuesday morning, but is expected to re-open around midday.

Hampshire Police have issued an appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision, in particular anyone with relevant dash cam footage, to get in touch.
