The cygnet season has officially arrived in Dorset - with the first little one hatching at Abbotsbury Swannery for 2024.

The fluffy baby made an appearance yesterday morning (Monday 13th May).

The Swannery has more than 100 nests on site though, so we can expect plenty more to follow!

Visitors are able to walk alongside the nests, and see the cygnets and their parents up close.

Abbotsbury Swannery is home to the world's only managed colony of nesting mute swans.
