A 69-year-old man remains in hospital after being seriously injured in a hit and run crash in Bognor Regis last weekend.

The pedestrian was knocked down by a car which did not stop in Woodlands Road on 14 January.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called at around 4.40pm to reports of a collision involving a silver vehicle and a pedestrian.

"The vehicle left the scene without stopping.

"The pedestrian, a 69-year-old man, was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition."

Police have appealed for witnesses and dash cam or doorbell footage.
