Cordon in place at Southampton park as police investigate rape
Police were called early this morning to reports that a woman in her 40's had been raped in East Park
Police are continuing to investigate following reports of a serious sexual assault in Southampton.
Officers were called shortly after 5am this morning (Thursday 6 June) to a report that the woman in her 40's had been raped in East Park.
A cordon is currently in place.
In a statement, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said: "We have attended the location and remain there today carrying out enquiries.
"The woman involved is being supported by specialist officers."
