Man charged with murder after death of woman in Cheriton
39-year-old Daniel Livie also charged with threats to kill
A man has been charged with murder following the death of 68-year-old Gilly Livie in Cheriton earlier this month.
She was found at an address off the B3046 after police were called at around 10.30am on Friday 9th January.
Despite efforts from attending officers and ambulance teams, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers located a man at the same address who had sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
On Monday 19th January, the man, identified as 39-year-old Daniel Livie of Winstreet Close, Alton, was arrested on suspicion of murder. Later that day, he was discharged from hospital and taken into police custody.
Charges and court appearance
last night Daniel Livie was formally charged with murder.
He has also been charged with threats to kill in relation to alleged threats made to another man on Thursday 8th January.
Livie is due to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court later.
