A teenager has been bailed following a crash at a car meet in Portsmouth which left a teenage girl and a woman in her twenties with serious injuries.

The vehicle, a blue Mazda MX5, left Portfield Road in Hilsea after going around a roundabout and ploughed into a crowd.

Around 40 to 50 cars had gathered there on Saturday night.

One of them, a blue Mazda MX5, left the road and hit four people after going round a roundabout.

Police said a 17-year-old from Fareham who was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving had been bailed until April 28th.

Officers said that the most seriously injured person was in a stable condition in hospital as of Monday afternoon (January 30th).

Officers investigating the incident are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the event, in particular anyone who has footage of the incident.
