Camp Bestival has confirmed it’s return to Lulworth Castle in Dorset this summer.

Headline acts include Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada and the Friendly Fires.

It follows the Prime Ministers roadmap out of lockdown which was announced earlier this week. Since then festivals like Reading and Leeds have announced they will also be returning.

The government says it aims to lift social distancing restrictions by June 21st, ahead of Bestival’s end of July date.

The festival returns to the stunning Lulworth Castle location, for a second go at it’s 2020 movies theme, which was cut before it went into production.

Rob da Bank, Camp Bestival curator told Greatest Hits Radio Dorset:

“There is literally nothing Josie and I like more in life than standing in a field surrounded by family and friends, dressed in daft outfits dancing to amazing bands and DJs...and Mr Tumble...and that’s exactly what we plan to be doing at Camp Bestival in 154 days, 15 hours and 27 minutes...not that we’re counting 😍.”

A spokesperson for Camp Bestival said:

“Take two indeed! Take one was looking pretty good through the lens but take two is taking things to a whole new level with some amazing new additions to our cast. Step up very special guest Kelis making a huge comeback at the moment, the best maître d’ in the world Fred Sirieix helping us curate our food offerings, add in Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess live, a proper standalone comedy tent, a new clubby space for parents and teens and loads more fresh ideas … and, of course, the fans’ favourite Venagboys are back.

"We asked you guys and you voted for the return of the Vengabus. We want Camp Bestival 2021 to be the best family festival you’ve ever witnessed, so we hope to see you at the Castle!”
