Busy time for highways teams as temperatures plummet

It's set to get colder before mild weather moves in

Highways teams on the Isle of Wight say they've used 211 tonnes of salt in the past week alone, as temperatures plummet.

Crews, who've been out gritting at least once each day, say it's the longest consecutive run they can remember.

Temperatures are set to rise from Sunday.
