Boy bitten by dog in Poole
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the attack on Sunday (3rd April)

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as they investigate an incident where an 11-year-old boy was bitten by a dog in Poole.
At around 11.20am on Sunday 3 April 2022 the victim was cycling on a path leading from Bettiscombe Close to Canford Heath when he saw a woman walking two black Cocker Spaniel-type dogs off their leads. One of the dogs started to chase him and bit him on the leg, causing a puncture wound to his skin.
The woman apologised for the dog chasing him, but reportedly did not stop to give her details.
She is described as white, aged in her 30s, around five feet four inches tall and of slim build with blonde shoulder-length straight hair. She was wearing a navy blue Puffa-style jacket and jeans.
Police Constable Jennie Sykes-Martin, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or has any information that might assist our investigation.
“I would particularly like to speak to a woman seen walking a Golden Retriever in the area at the relevant time as she may have witnessed what happened.
“Finally, I would urge the woman involved to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account.”
