AFC Bournemouth Women boss Steve Cuss has stepped down from his role.

Last year, the club achieved a record-breaking season, going undefeated in the league as they were promoted as champions, while also winning the FA National League Plate.

Cuss also led the side to the Hampshire Senior Cup, as well as overseeing its first promotion to the National League in the years prior.

A club statement said:

"Cuss has played an integral role in the development of the women’s programme at the club, overseeing a period of significant progress and laying the foundations for future successes.

"His passion and commitment have been instrumental in building a competitive and respected team within the women’s football landscape, with the side about to head into tier three for the first time in its history."
