Police searching for a missing man from Poole have found a body.

Officers made the discovery in Compton Gardens in Poole at 9.48am on Wednesday (July 3rd).

A man was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Formal identification is yet to take place, but Dorset Police believe it to be that of 39-year-old Craig Hayward, who was reported missing from an address in the Branksome area on Monday (July 1st).

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police said Craig's family has been informed.

Chief Inspector Matt Buller, of Dorset Police, said:

"Our thoughts are very much with the family of Craig Hayward at this extremely difficult time.

"I would like to thank all those who have assisted our search efforts over the last few days."
