Big Green Event in Southampton

All they help you need to live a greener life

Southampton is hosting a large environmental health and greener living event at the 02 Guildhall and on Guildhall Square today (Saturday 30 July 2022).

The Big Green Event, which is being hosted by Southampton City Council and is being run by the Southern Sustainability Partnership, will have 50 stalls, project showcases and an advice hub, to supply people with the knowledge they need to live a greener life.

The event begins at 11am and finishes at 3.30pm.

It is free to attend.

Councillor Lisa Mitchell, cabinet member for environment said: “Hosting the first Big Green Event is so exciting for Southampton and really helps us underpin the green ambitions for our city.

“This event promises to be full of ideas and support to help us make changes to live, work, play and travel more sustainably. There is something for everyone to enjoy and it is free to attend.”

Lynda Daniels, director at The Southern Sustainability Partnership, said: “We’re so excited to be a part of Southampton City Council’s first Big Green Event. We can’t wait to welcome people from across the region and we promise them a great day out.”
