Teenager assaulted in Ryde after car mounted pavement

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted in Ryde.

At around 9.20pm on Friday (29 August) two teenage boys were at the junction of West Street and Adelaide Place, when a car containing five men mounted the pavement and drove at them.

One of the boys, a 15-year-old, was assaulted by one of the men in the car.

The vehicle then sped off along West Street, and stopped on Pell Lane where one man got out.

Officers are now appealing for CCTV, dashcam and doorbell footage to assist their investigation.
