Police were called to East Park at just before 5am on Thursday (June 6th) after the victim, in her 40s, reported being raped by a man unknown to her.

She is continuing to receive support from specially trained officers.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said:

"Since this incident was reported to us we have been in the local area carrying out enquiries and officers will be patrolling East Park and the city centre over the weekend.
