Arrest following 'noxious substance' attack in Bognor Regis

Several people had to be treated by ambulance crews

A man has been arrested following a suspected noxious substance attack in Bognor Regis.

Police said people were treated for minor injuries following a disturbance at an address in Sturges Road yesterday (July 14th).

Officers and emergency services were first called to the property at just after 4pm.

It is believed a suspected noxious substance may have been thrown during the course of the incident.

The man arrested remained in custody on suspicion of aggravated burglary as of 11am on Monday.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said:

"The ambulance service treated people for minor injuries, believed to be in connection with the suspected noxious substance.

"Officers are investigating, and there will be an increased police presence to provide reassurance."

Witnesses or anyone with information such as CCTV, mobile phone or doorbell footage, are asked to report it to Sussex Police online, quoting serial 780 of 14/07.
