Yeovil Town relegated from National League

It wasn't the result supporters of Yeovil Town were hoping for last night, after the club was relegated to the National League South.

The Glovers fate was confirmed after their 3-nil defeat away to Wrexham.

Wrexham, are now one win away from securing the National League title.

It means in the last nine years, Yeovil Town have gone from a second tier championship club, to a regional football team.

Fans have shared their disappointment online, with some calling it an "absolute shambles".

Others have praised the club, saying the players "worked very hard for 60 minutes"

Yeovil's manager has described the relegation as "death by a thousand cuts".

On social media, Hollywood superstar Rob McElhenney has also weighed in on Yeovil's loss.

He said: "One thing that was lost in the excitement last night was that @YTFCwas relegated. I spoke with their managers, a few players and supporters.

"They were devastated. This sport can be so heartbreaking. They fought hard to the end. I wish them luck and hope they’re back up soon. 🤝"
