Yeovil Town FC hail 'new era' as they launch their 2023/4 away kit
The new strip is a nod to the club's rich history
Yeovil Town's new chairman - Martin Hellier - says a brand new era has begun at the club following the announcement of their new away kit.
This year's strip is a nod to their rich history - emulating what the old Petters United wore more than a century ago.
Hellier completed the takeover of the relegated side back in May, with a commitment to supporting the local community.
Sharing a statement on social media, Martin Hellier said: "We have begun and exciting new era at Yeovil Town Football Club, and I am incredibly proud and humbled to be at the helm as club chairman.
"As we embark on this new journey, I wanted the new away kit to pay homage and testament to our rich heritage, and therefore have decided to emulate, as much as possible, the last kit worn by Petters United Kit, dating back to 1913
"The tale of Petters United, a team that existed for a mere decade, left an indelible mark on the subsequent fortunes of a club that is cherished by us all.
"I hope the fans of Yeovil Town will enjoy the away kit and the nod to our history of which we are so proud"
Yeovil Town will head to Hemel Hempstead Town for their first fixture in the National League South on August 5.
