A man in his 70s has died - three weeks after being involved in a crash on the A361 last month.

Officers from Avon and Somerset Police were called out to the collision - between a van and a car - on the Parkgate Lane Junction in Beckington near Frome on March 24.

He was then rushed to hospital - where he stayed until he passed away, three weeks later.

In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police say: "Sadly, the driver of the car, a man in his 70s, died in hospital from his injuries three weeks after the incident.

"We are appealing for witnesses who may have been driving along the A361 at the time of the incident.

"We are also interested to speak to anyone with dashcam footage."
