Two motorcyclists killed in a collision near Wells
Police were called out to a crash in Priddy at just before midday yesterday (28 May)
Police were called to reports of a crash on Plummers Lane on Sunday (28th May) in Priddy – a small village in the Mendips near Wells.
The two riders passed away at the scene, whilst a pillion passenger was air lifted to hospital.
The passenger remains in critical condition in hospital.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the Avon and Somerset force said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision involving two motorcycles on the B3135 Plummers Lane, Priddy, near Wells, at around 11.50am.
"Unfortunately, the two riders both died at the scene, and a pillion passenger was air lifted to hospital where they remain in critical condition.
"The next of kin have been notified and our thoughts are with them during this difficult time. They are being supported by a specially-trained family liaison officer."
Police are asking for witnesses, or anyone who may have dashcam footage around the time of the crash, to come forward.
