'Two clubs, one goal, united for Bridgwater' as challenge gets underway

Players and staff from Yeovil United women's Football Club and Bridgwater Town Football Club are taking part in fifty marathons in a 24 hour period to raise money for charity.

With both men’s and women’s football suspended until at least the middle of February each club’s senior squad and management including CEO Adam Murry and

Bridgwater Chairman Bob Buckingham said: "Each player will take to the streets of their local area to complete the 26.2 miles by foot, in no more than 24 hours on 6th February 2021.

"All money raised will stay in the town and go to such worthy causes who provide incredible support to the most vulnerable in our society.

"The funds raised will go to support organisations such as Bridgwater Foodbank and other deserving charities.

"We ask followers of both clubs and the wider community, to back our campaign and help us serve our community.

"Two clubs, one goal, United for Bridgwater.
