A 17-year-old boy who died in a car crash near Chew Valley last week has been called a loyal friend and inspiration to many.

Luke Harvey, from Chew Valley, was killed in a crash between two vehicles on the A37 between Clutton and Pensford on Monday 24 April.

In a tribute his family describe him as a "loving, caring and thoughtful young man" who touched everyone's hearts.

“Our special boy Luke was one in a million, always putting others’ needs before his own," their tribute reads.

“He was a loyal friend and an inspiration to many.

“He has left a huge void in our lives but will be forever in our hearts.

"All our love darling."

Avon and Somerset Police are investigating the crash and are asking for anyone who witnessed what happened or who has dashcam footage from the area, to call 101 and quote the reference number 5223094826.

Officers say their thoughts are with Luke's family, who are being supported by the family liaison team.
