Two local play areas get £65,000 makeover

The play areas now feature a host of new activities

Two children's play areas have benefitted from makeovers worth a total of £65,000.

Cross Penn in Burnham-on-Sea opened yesterday (Friday 22 January) and now features a new climbing unit, a wheelchair friendly roundabout, four way see-saw, pendulum swing, assault course, wobble board, overhead rotator and two new access gates at a cost of £50,000.

Elsewhere, Marsa Way in Bridgwater is opening next week and now has a new climbing frame, a toddler swing and some interactive talk tubes. The project there cost £15,000.
