Teenager attacked in Ninesprings Country Park

The victim was taken to hospital - but their injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening following the incident last week

There will be extra police patrols of Ninesprings Country Park after a teenager was attacked there last week.

Officers say it happened last Wednesday morning (30 August), with the victim taken to hospital with multiple cuts.

He was taken to hospital, however, his injuries following the attack aren't thought to be life threatening - but police have launched an appeal for information following the incident between 7.30 and 8.00 in the morning.

It happened whilst the teenager was walking along a footpath in Ninesprings Country Park when he was attacked with a bladed article.

The suspect is described as 16-18 years old, approximately 5ft 10in to 6ft tall, of slim build, with a full but thin beard. He was wearing a branded black tracksuit.

Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team are conducting additional reassurance patrols in the area and anyone with concerns can speak with any of our officers.
