Taunton lorry fire "well alight" with residents advised to keep windows closed

Fire Crews from around Somerset are on the scene of a large lorry fire in Staplegrove, Taunton.

Emergency Services were called in the early hours of this morning (02/01) to reports of a lorry carrying recyclable electrical items on fire.

The Fire Service say it's still "well alight" with teams tackling the blaze.

People living nearby are being advised to keep their windows and doors closed due to the smoke and smell from the incident.

We've been told that Police are also in attendance, and are to be cordoning off the area, due to concerns about overhead power lines in close proximity to the fire
