Taunton football team helping dads impacted by baby loss
Rob McDonald has been speaking to us about how the sport has helped him through his grief.
A Taunton football team is helping dads impacted by baby loss.
It's ran by Rob McDonald who lost his baby Olly at 15 weeks and felt like he didn't have anywhere to really turn to to talk to others like him.
When living in the West Midlands, Rob's mum suggested he try out SANDS United.
Since going along, Rob hasn't look back and created a Taunton group when he moved back to Somerset.
Rob said: "It's it's a huge comfort. It's knowing that you're in a group of men that know what it feels like to go through it.
"The pain and the suffering that we are all going through, that we all know that there's going to be times where one minute we're OK and we're sort of dealing with day-to-day life and then there might be the odd day where we can turn up and talk to people.
"We're in a group chat as well. So yeah, it was really comforting knowing that that there is our support network there because."
