A suspected cannabis farm has been found in Wells, with as many as 200 plants growing.

The Wells Neighbourhood Policing Team were called to reports, after receiving concerns from the members of the public earlier this week.

Officers attended the scene on Wells High Street on 10th April around midday, and found nearly 200 suspected cannabis plants and equipment.

Work is ongoing to seize the plants and enquiries are ongoing into finding those responsible for the suspected factory.

Neighbourhood Sgt Simon Lancey said: "We would like to thank the public who expressed their concerns about the factory.

""We ask if anyone has any further information to come forward, either by calling 101 or by contacting the Wells Neighbourhood Team and quote reference 5223082651."
