There's a new assistant manager at Taunton Town - and for fans he's certainly a familiar face.

Steve Murray's joining Richard Luffman's backroom team - having featured in more than 71 matches for the Peacocks.

On social media, he says he's 'proud to be back and part of this brilliant football club again'.

Steve has been called a 'familiar face' by the club, having joined back in 2013 - when he went on to feature in 71 matches in Claret and Blue and would net 31 goals.

He then moved onto a managerial career - becoming the interim boss of Cribbs F.C., where he was in charge of nine matches, securing four victories and three draws before missing out on promotion in the playoff semi-final.

Manager Richard Luffman said: “I’m really pleased that Steve has agreed to join me at Taunton as my assistant manager, he’s an excellent addition to my team and will be a massive part of the club he has bags of energy and his knowledge of local football is on par with the very best. He also loves this football club more than any other in non league.”
