Somerset Cricket sign former England fast bowler, Jake Ball
He's been with Nottinghamshire for the past 15 years
Somerset Cricket have confirmed bowler Jake Ball's signed a two year contract with the club.
The 32-year-old is coming to the County Ground on the initial deal after a 15 year stint with Nottinghamshire.
His new contract means he has an option for a third year with the club.
He's called our side 'a great bunch of lads' - and it was their ambition that attracted him to the club.
Ball capped in four Tests, 18 ODIs and two T20s between 2016 and 2018, and ended his stint with his former club last month, having taken 423 wickets and won four trophies with the county.
The 32-year-old said: "I'm really looking forward to this new challenge.
"Somerset have got a great bunch of lads, and their ambition was one of the things that really attracted me to the club.
"I genuinely believe that this group of players have what it takes to challenge for the LV= Insurance County Championship and build on the success of winning this season's Vitality Blast."
